First things first DS has shown huge strides since we started our therapies, a year earlier. Now he can spontaneously speak in sentence, but not consistently. The words are there need to work with him to make him speak more. He is getting potty trained, off diapers which is another big thing in making him more independent. The dream of parents of special child is make them independent before their life time. We are finding the support at comdell amazing and son loves the place. Also he had really good time in a recent bday party. I attended a social thinking workshop and got some nice perspectivies about developing social skills. The work has'nt been really busy, which is good in a way I can spend some quality time with my son. Our weekend trip to mysore was cancelled due to illness to DS, need replan that one.
We came across the book by arun shourie on this journey with a son who has CP. His life has been tragic, but this public life was successful. Need to find time to read books, I already have plethora of books at home which I hardly find time to read.
